Through the hard work of the advocacy community, awareness of sleep conditions like narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia has been growing. Despite this, people living with sleep conditions continue to face unique challenges throughout their diagnosis and symptom management journeys. In this video, Sarah McMahon, Senior Vice President, Sleep Franchise Head, talks about the value of understanding the realities of people impacted by sleep conditions to better address the challenges they often face.
Our partnerships with patient advocacy organizations, patients and caregivers are invaluable as they allow us to learn, firsthand, how we can help transform the lives of those living with sleep conditions. By gathering these insights, we can provide educational resources that better support people on their diagnosis and symptom management journeys. By maintaining dialogue and considering the holistic experiences of patients, we improve awareness of the burden of sleep conditions, including increased risk of cardiovascular and cardiometabolic comorbidities.
